Tori Kelly and James Bay perform GRAMMYs duet
Tori Kelly and James Bay, both nominated for Grammy’s Best New Artist of the Year, performed a mash up of their songs “Hollow” & “Let It Go” from their album Unbreakable Smile and Chaos and the Calm on last night’s Grammy stage. The duo dominated their act with just the accompaniment of their guitars.
There is something so intimate and so vulnerable with performing with just guitars, and a lot can go wrong—nerves, instrument malfunction (Adele’s piano). However, our pair killed it on the Grammy stage with the audience showering them with applause. Bay’s voice is raspy and haunting, and harmonized with Kelly’s flawless runs, makes the performance just spot on!
it was such a pleasure sharing the stage with you incredibly talented gentleman, @jamesbaymusic

Even though it was Meghan Trainor who swept up the Best New Artist award, we know that Kelly and Bay left no regret with their performance that night.
The performance qualities varied greatly on GRAMMYs night. Some went smoothly, and some not quite. The microphone on the piano came lose and feel right on the strings in Adele’s performance of “All I Ask” from her newest album 25.
