Tamron Hall has finally decided to address NBC’s surprising decision to push her out of the TODAY show and replace her with Megyn Kelly who was dropped like a hot potato after making racists comments.

Many were baffled when NBC opted to demote Hall and Al Roker even though they were binging in high ratings. Hall opted to leave instead of settling, and now she is getting ready to premiere her own talk show.

While promoting the new project, she had this to say about Kelly: “Megyn’s success or not, I already knew they made the wrong choice when I left the door. So I would never measure by her successor perceived lack thereof. I knew the day I left that it was the wrong decision; that’s why I left.”

The host of the syndicated daytime talk show, Tamron Hall, went on to say: “For me, I didn’t know what would come after leaving that situation. I’m blessed and fortunate that this is the result. But whether that show made it or not, I knew I was making the right decision for me.”

The former Fox News darling learned that her show Megyn Kelly Today was canceled after a segment where she said it was fine to wear blackface on Halloween and added: “What is racist? You get in trouble if you’re a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. When I was a kid that was OK as long as you were dressing up as a character.”
