Sir Michael Heller was a British business executive and philanthropist.

Born in North Yorkshire, England, he was educated at the Harrogate Grammar School in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. He then proceeded to St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, where he received a Master of Arts degree in 1955.

Following college, Heller served in many institutions such as the Chairman of Bisichi Mining, Chairman of London & Associated Properties, Chairman of Electronic Data Processing, and others.

Heller co-founded the Michael & Morven Heller Charitable Foundation in 1988. The organization contributed to the Hampstead Theatre and the London Jewish Cultural Centre. They donated to Save Van Dyck for the National Portrait Gallery to acquire Anthony van Dyck’s self-portrait.

In recognition of his support for charities and communal organizations, as well as the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre, and Hampstead Theatre, Heller was knighted in 2013 for charitable service. He also received an Algemeiner Honouree in 2019.
