The Little Mix girls have left their stamp on 2016!

After having an incredible 2015, they have kept going from strength to strength this year. So we decided to pick out some of the biggest moments for Little Mix this year.

The ‘Get Weird’ Tour

After having time off from touring to write ‘Get Weird’, the girls came back to arenas with a bang! This tour was their biggest and best yet and even became the highest grossing UK tour of 2016, beating global sensation Adele. The ‘Get Weird’ Tour also became the fifth highest grossing tour by a girl group of all time, grossing over $24.5 million . What an achievement!

Get Weird was certified Double Platinum

‘Get Weird’ is the most successful album that the girls have released to date, with it still remaining in the UK Top 40 a year after it’s release. In August this year, the album became certified double platinum, making it the first of Little Mix’s albums to do so.

V Festival

The girls made their V Festival debut this summer and put on one hell of a show! They became one of the most talked about acts of the weekend after a set filled with incredible vocals, effortless dance routines and a Beyoncé cover.

Shout Out To My Ex

October saw the release of their sassiest single yet, Shout Out To My Ex. It debuted at Number One with 95,000 combined sales and became the first UK Number One this year with a female lead. The fierce breakup anthem has also already been certified silver in the UK and platinum in Australia!

Glory Days

Glory Days is certainly the only way to sum up Little Mix’s feelings this year as they finally achieved their first ever UK Number One album selling 90,000 combined and becoming the second fastest selling album, just behind David Bowie – ‘Blackstar’. The album is filled with personality and showcases their vocals and songwriting abilities, showing why they are so popular.

2017 is already looking to be a jam-packed year for the girls as they will embark on the ‘Glory Days Tour’ from May through to November, playing all across Europe, Australia and the UK. They will also be supporting Ariana Grande for the US leg of her Dangerous Woman tour!
