Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni came under fire over the last few days when it came to tweets from their past that was extremely racist and homophobic. Lisa Vanderpump has responded with her own statement.

The two newbies can breathe a sigh of relief because they won’t be fired. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum says that her employees see the error in their ways.

‘I do not condone any of the heinous comments made in the past by Max and Brett and I am glad they understand the severity of their offenses and have shown utmost remorse and contrition. I embrace a community of diversity and do not tolerate bigotry of any form within my workplace. Max and Brett are both appropriately ashamed of their past obnoxious teenage arrogance and casual use of unacceptable terms. While both have now matured as adults, they have shown remorse for their prior reckless defamatory statements,’ Vanderpump began.

She added: ‘I do sincerely believe both have learned the power and impact words can have, and I have every hope this will be a lifelong lesson for them as we move into this new decade.’

Many were upset that the SUR, Pump, and Tom Tom owner simply brushed off Max and Brett’s offensive tweets because they were ‘teenagers’ while others think they deserve a second chance.

Both of the reality stars apologized via social media.

Boyens claimed that he was ‘disgusted and embarrassed’ by his old messages.

Caprioni also accepted responsibility with his statement that read: ‘I want to express my deepest apologies for the insensitive, ignorant, and hurtful comments I made. I am incredibly ashamed and accept full responsibility, and acknowledge that this language was as unacceptable then as it is now. Please know that I have learned and grown since then and would never use this language today. From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry.’

This situation also caused some fans to question why there are no people of color on the series. To make matters worse, LGBT activist Billie Lee left the show and position when she felt bullied by her castmates.
