Jimmy Capps (born 25 May 1939) was an American famous musician, singer, guitarist, record producer, and music director from Fayetteville, North Carolina. He is famously known in the country as a member of the Grand Ole Opry band. He joined the band in the year 1958. At that time, he was only 19 years old.
Jimmy was interested in music since childhood. He started playing guitar at the age of 12. Before joining the Grand Ole Opry, he was the band member of The Louvin Brothers band. In his music career, he performed on many songs like Three Little Miracles, Nashville Shuffle, Chattanoogie Bound, The Natchez Trace, etc.
Apart from this, he also gave many performances at Musicians Hall of Fame. He also wrote an autobiography titled “The Man in Black”.
