In the same conversation with Bensinger, Buss spoke about her 'controversial' nude Playboy photoshoot, explaining that it still peruses her despite having done it over twenty years ago. "I probably receive five to 10 requests a week where people print the pictures and ask me to sign them," she said.
In fact, it was not that long ago that Buss revealed that she still has to defend her decision to participate in the shoot, and precisely why she wanted to do it in the first place. "I'm still explaining it 20 years later. They want to judge and put me in a category." said the owner in a 2020 interview with Sports Illustrated.
"When I posed, I was 32 years old. It wasn't like I was making a mistake that I didn't know what I was getting myself into. For me, I was at the maturity level that I could do it. And I was like every other model, I had to go through the test photo shoot and all that kind of stuff. It was my own personal goal, not anything to do with business or anything. Just something I wanted to do," revealed the Lakers' owner.
