He also served as a deputy director at the Cape York Institute, an indigenous organization, from 2006 to 2009. Tudge’s involvement in policy advisory and education continued as he co-founded Teach For Australia and ran his policy advisory firm before entering politics.

Tudge’s political career started in 2010 when he was elected as a Liberal Party member of the House of Representatives, representing the Victorian seat of Aston.

He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a parliamentary secretary after the 2013 election.
